Summary
Regional Engagement Manager is responsible for the overall management of Global Internet Access (GIA), MPLS, SD-WAN, cloud computing, fiber products, and NaaS (Network-as-a-Service) in the Asia region. Responsibilities include supporting pre-sales and sales teams to win customer deals and achieve AOP targets, leading and overseeing network expansion projects in the Asia region to drive traffic growth and service coverage, reducing network costs, preparing business cases for funding support on network projects, and providing support to solutions teams in other regions.
Role and Responsibilities
- Overall management of GIA, MPLS, SD-WAN, and fiber products in Asia’s sales regions to achieve product revenue and profit targets
- Support pre-sales and sales teams with customer proposals and bids related to GIA, MPLS, SD-WAN, fiber products, and cloud computing
- Monitor market trends for GIA, MPLS, SD-WAN, and fiber services in Asia’s regions, proactively respond to changing customer requirements, recommend actions such as marketing promotions, and engage in sales activities to ensure the Annual Operational Plan (AOP) targets are met
- Lead and oversee IP and fiber network augmentation and expansion projects
- Collaborate closely with the Vendor Management team to drive network cost-saving initiatives
- Ensure updated MPLS and Ethernet interconnect information (e.g., pricing, service features, capabilities, and coverage) is maintained
- Provide regional input for periodic product costing and information updates and contribute to AOP planning
- Prepare business cases for capital and operational expenditure funding to support GIA, MPLS, SD-WAN, and fiber business growth
- As a member of the Global Engagement team, provide support to Regional Engagement Managers in other regions when needed
- Perform additional activities, duties, or responsibilities as required
Experience / Qualifications
Undergraduate degree in Telecommunications, Engineering, IT or a related disciplineMinimum of 5 years of relevant product management experience in the telecom or IT industrySolid product / technical knowledge of IP, MPLS, SD-WAN, Cloud (Azure / Google / AWS), and SASE / Security, including applications and solutions for enterprises and wholesale carriersExperience in the Asian or China telecom market is an advantage but not mandatoryGood knowledge of Cloud / Automation tools such as n8n, Zapier, or Google Workspace, and data analytics tools such as Power BI, is an advantageExcellent negotiation, interpersonal, and presentation skills; Highly motivated and results-orientedLanguage skills : Fluency in Mandarin, Cantonese, and English (verbal and written) is requiredWilling to travel overseas to meet customers, vendors, and attend trade shows as required by business needsSeniority level
