Job Description

Drive Supplier Quality Assurance :

Lead the SQE Electrical team in executing PPAP Process Audits, 6 Back-to-Basics Audits, and Capacity Verification at supplier sites for new product launches, product enhancements, and change management activities.

Ensure Compliance & Performance :

Oversee Flight Audits for SC / CC product and process control, as well as Product, Preventive Maintenance, and Manpower Audits to guarantee consistent adherence to quality and process requirements.

Problem Solving & Risk Mitigation :

Lead root cause analysis and resolution of issues related to GCPA, PPM, DPU, downtime, project development, and warranty, ensuring timely and effective corrective actions.

Champion Continuous Improvement :

Foster a culture of risk-based thinking and continuous improvement within supplier organizations through structured Supplier Improvement Programs.

Capability Building :

Conduct technical training for SQE engineers and suppliers to strengthen competencies in electrical product design, process control, and regulatory compliance.

Supplier Development :

Coordinate and implement Supplier Development Programs, providing coaching and training to elevate supplier performance and quality standards.

Audit Methodology Enhancement :

Continuously review and refine audit methodologies to improve efficiency and effectiveness, aligning with PROTON's strategic direction and global quality standards.

Additional Responsibilities :

Perform other duties as assigned by the Head of Department or Top Management to support evolving business needs.

Job Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or a related field.

Professional certifications in Quality Management Systems (QMS), IATF 16949, or Six Sigma are an advantage.

Minimum 5–8 years of experience in Supplier Quality Engineering, Electrical Product Development, or related roles.

Proven experience in supplier audits, PPAP, and process capability verification.

Strong background in problem-solving methodologies (e.g., 8D, Root Cause Analysis, FMEA).

In-depth knowledge of electrical product design, manufacturing processes, and quality standards.

Familiarity with APQP, PPAP, SPC, and MSA tools.

Proficiency in audit techniques and risk-based thinking.

Understanding of regulatory compliance for electrical products.

Strong leadership and team management capabilities.

Willingness to travel to supplier sites as required.
