Social Media Marketing Executive

Life Records is Malaysia’s longest standing Indie Record Label. We’ve been operating through the ages of vinyl, cassette tapes, CD’s, and now digital streaming platforms!

We help local artists / musicians increase their reach and monetise their music content primarily on YouTube, but also across other platforms. We achieve this by spending ad dollars in the right areas, clearing publishing rights of cover songs, and uploading the music content on accounts approved for monetisation.

At the moment we are kickstarting our Chinese music department, which has been dormant for a few decades. Our goal is to breakthrough local artists in the China and Taiwan markets!

Job Description

Life Records is looking for a creative executive to assist our marketing department’s social media efforts in Chinese music content. This position has flexible working hours, and has the opportunity for growth.

The social media executive’s role would be to support our marketing team in developing and implementing outreach and promotional campaigns, to boost our Chinese music content in account engagement and increase revenue.

You will be responsible for creating original text, still graphics, and short form video content. Additionally, you will be monitoring posts and reporting campaign success.

Social Media Executive Responsibilities

• Assist with the design and execution of social media campaigns for song releases
• Write captions that speak to artists’ target audience
• Create content for Instagram, XHS, and TikTok such as infographics, short videos, posters, and canvases of song releases, artists’ cross collaborations etc
• Brainstorm and research original ideas for content
• Track social media engagement to identify high performing content and campaigns
• Develop new strategies for increasing engagement
• Support Life Records team at live and online events
• Assist on artists collaboration campaign strategy
