Key Responsibilities :

Infrastructure & System Administration

  • Manage and maintain Linux-based servers, storage, virtualization platforms, and cloud infrastructure.
  • Ensure system performance, uptime, and availability through proactive monitoring.
  • Implement automation for routine infra tasks (provisioning, patching, backups, monitoring).
  • Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure and network-related issues in a timely manner.

Network & Performance Monitoring

  • Monitor network traffic, system logs, and performance metrics using open-source tool.
  • Diagnose and resolve infrastructure or network performance bottlenecks.
  • Manage VPNs, firewall, load balancers.

    • Change & Upgrade Management

  • Plan, coordinate, and execute infrastructure changes (hardware, software, configurations).
  • Ensure proper documentation and approvals for all change requests.
  • Manage regular software, firmware, and hardware upgrades across systems.
  • Test and validate upgrades to minimize disruptions to business operations.

    • Disaster Recovery (DR) & Backup

  • Develop, maintain, test disaster recovery and business continuity plans.
  • Implement and monitor backup solutions using open-source tools.
  • Regularly test and validate restore procedures.
  • Provide recovery support in the event of outages or system failures.

    • Documentation & Compliance

  • Maintain updated infrastructure / network diagrams.
  • Document procedures, configurations, and upgrade / change logs.
  • Track and maintain inventory of system / software versions and licenses.

    • Office IT & User Support

  • Manage internal office IT infrastructure.
  • Support end-users for Linux-based desktop / workstation issues, productivity tools, and connectivity.
  • Ensure software across the office use remains up-to-date and secure.

    • Requirements :

  • Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field.
  • 3–5 years of experience in infrastructure and network management.
  • Strong hands-on experience in Linux administration and server, virtualization (VMware, Proxmox), and cloud platforms.
  • Solid understanding of networking (TCP / IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, firewalls, routing).
  • Experience with firewalls, switches, VPN, and monitoring tools like Zabbix.
  • Experience in writing and maintaining shell scripts
  • Familiarity with ITIL processes (change, incident, problem management).
  • Good documentation skills; exposure to ISO 27001 is an advantage.
  • Able to work in Bukit Jalil.
