Job Description
1. Strategic Financial Leadership
- Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with the company's goals.
- Provide financial insights and recommendations to support decision-making by the Management
- Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning.
- Lead the accounting team in preparing statutory and management financial reports.
- Identify and strengthen internal controls and process improvements.
2. Financial Management & Control
Lead and manage day-to-day finance operations, including accounting, cash flow, accounts receivable / payable, and payroll.Ensure accuracy and integrity of financial records in compliance with accounting standards (e.g., IFCA, SQL).Manage project cash flow, collections, payments, and capital needs.Drive annual budgeting and forecasting processes.Assess financial stability of clients and subcontractors.3. Compliance & Governance
Ensure statutory compliance with tax, audit, and regulatory requirements.Liaise with auditors, tax agents, banks, and regulatory bodies.Establish internal controls to safeguard company assets and prevent fraud.4. Reporting & Analysis
Prepare and present timely financial reports, management accounts, and board papers.Conduct variance analysis, profitability studies, and cost management initiatives.Review project performance, including delays, cost overruns, and margin variances.Provide cash flow projections and liquidity management.5. Funding & Investment Management
Manage relationships with investors, banks, and funding institutions.Work with banks on funding and performance bond arrangements.Evaluate investment opportunities and business expansion plans.Oversee capital structure, debt management, and funding arrangements.6. Team Leadership
Lead and mentor the finance team to achieve high performance.Develop staff competencies in accounting, compliance, and reporting.Job Requirement
Master / Degree in Accounting / Finance or related courses, with a fully certified qualification from ACCA / CIMA / ACA and highly experienced.Candidate should at least 5 years in senior management or similar capacity.Relevant experience, preferably within the construction industry & property developer.Solid knowledge of local accounting standards, with strong understanding of construction and development project accounting.Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suites and accounting software (SQL & IFCA) will be an added advantage.Good attention to detail with strong accuracy.Proactive, high integrity, attention to detail, and ability to work under pressure.Ability to work on own initiatives and compliant with policies and procedures.Ability to work in a stressful environment with a tight timeline.Good leadership in directing a teamAbility to communicate professionally with all levels of employees.Result oriented.
