1. Product Design & Development
- Design and develop aerospace fasteners (bolts, nuts, rivets, etc.)
- Perform material selection for aerospace applications, considering strength, durability, and weight constraints.
- Develop technical drawings, 3D models, and specifications using CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD).
- Ensure designs are optimized for manufacturability, performance, and cost efficiency.
2. Process Engineering & Manufacturing Support
Work with production and manufacturing teams to ensure fasteners are produced efficiently and meet quality standards.Support the development and optimization of hot forging, machining, heat treatment, and coating processes.Conduct failure analysis and root cause investigations for product-related issues and implement corrective actions.Assist in the qualification and validation of new products and processes.3. Compliance & Quality Assurance
Ensure all fasteners meet AS9100, NADCAP, ISO 9001, and aerospace customer requirements.Work closely with quality control teams to develop inspection criteria, test methods, and process control plans.Conduct DFMEA (Design Failure Mode and Effects Analysis) and PFMEA (Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis) to mitigate potential product issues.4. Customer & Technical Support
Provide technical support to customers, sales teams, and suppliers regarding fastener selection, application, and performance.Assist in responding to customer inquiries, RFQs, and engineering change requests.Participate in customer audits and technical reviews to ensure compliance with specifications.5. Continuous Improvement & Innovation
Identify opportunities for product enhancements, weight reduction, and performance improvements.Research and implement new materials, coatings, and manufacturing techniques to improve aerospace fasteners.Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and advancements in aerospace fastening technology.
