Overview

Master Data Manager role at Danaher Life Sciences .

The Master Data Manager is responsible for managing the global master data processes in SAP and ensuring the value of master data is maintained by enforcing policy and procedures. Manages and directs the Master Data teams; ensures accuracy, completeness, timeliness and management of master data collection; and complies with business standards and procedures while continuously improving data standards, repositories and processes that include original input, change functions, auditing and cleaning. This position reports to the Business Process Enablement Leader, Global Master Data Maintenance (MDM) Manager and is part of the Master Data Team located in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia and will be an on-site role.

Responsibilities

  • Manage, coach and mentor the Global Master Data team.
  • Deploy master data management strategy globally.
  • Design, develop, implement and manage standard work / templates / training instructions to ensure global consistency.
  • Generate detailed extraction, cleansing and reporting designs necessary to satisfy requirements including KPIs for data accuracy, speed and accountability to drive continuous improvement globally.
  • Work with other business functions to maintain master data within their span of control and in alignment with overall Master Data standards and guidelines.
  • Identify and correct potential situations that may impede the successful maintenance of the service level agreement for data processing to address business needs.
  • Arrange and lead Kaizens or events necessary to further improve the Master Data processes.

Essential Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years Supervisory / Team leadership experience in managing, coaching and mentoring individuals in a deadline-driven environment
  • Strong analytical, organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Experience in manufacturing environment, including materials, bills of materials, routings / standards and ERP / MRP systems (SAP / MDG)
  • Experience coordinating cross-functional projects / assignments
  • Experience in facilitation and Kaizen execution
  • Proven ability to work in a fast-paced, self-directed environment
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills, including Word, Excel, Visio and Powerpoint

    • Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical / Environment Requirements

    Ability to travel – On occasion,

    Preferred qualifications

  • Two+ years of experience in project management relating to technology & business (preferred)
  • Experience with SAP Materials Management / Supply Chain function is desired
  • Knowledge of SAP Application Components : SD, FI, MM, PP, Service Management, etc.
