Accountant (Healthcare Industry)

Key responsibilities

  • Financial Accounting & Reporting

Prepare and maintain full set of accounts for all the business units (AP, AR, GL, bank reconciliations).

  • Produce accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for management.
  • Ensure timely closing of accounts and submission of financial statements.
  • Prepare and manage budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis.
  • Cash Flow & Treasury Management

    • Monitor cash flow, collections, and payments to ensure sufficient operating funds.

  • Manage accounts receivable and bad debt collection to minimize outstanding balances.
  • Manage petty cash and bank accounts across centers.
  • Compliance & Audit

    • Ensure compliance with Malaysian accounting standards, taxation (SST, income tax), and other statutory requirements.

  • Liaise with external auditors, tax agents, and regulatory bodies.
  • Prepare supporting schedules and documentation for audits.
  • Administrative & Operational Support

    • Work with the operations team to track inventory, procurement, and vendor payments.

  • Provide financial insights to management for decision-making on cost efficiency and expansion.

    • Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree / Diploma in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Minimum 3–5 years of accounting experience (experience in healthcare / SME environment is an advantage).
  • Familiarity with Malaysian accounting standards, taxation, and statutory regulations.
  • Proficiency in accounting software AutoCount, or equivalent and Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • High level of integrity, independence, and attention to detail.
