Objectives of the Position
Ensure and elaborate on compliance within the corporate finance guidelines in all local companies
Optimize financing structures to ensure optimal ROI on projects
Careful selection and determination of the source of capital – determining the debt equity ratio and designing a proper capital structure for the companies
Establish and affirm dividend policies through Asia pacific for both majority and minority owned BASF companies
Enhance economic returns on credit facilities agreed with banks for all local companies
Emphasize structural project administration from a financial perspective
Develop efficient and appropriate check list for project requirements such as country regulations on new company set up
Main Tasks
Responsible for Project financing in Asia Pacific – design and build optimal structure for project financing
Involve in expertise paper evaluation with the basis of understanding the new business / project requirements, country regulation as well as BASF’s internal guidelines
Build a check list template for new projects to ensure smooth implementation in setting up new companies as such Local regulatory requirements. Documentation requirement, equity ratio and tax benefit, etc.
Develop Subsidiary financing format, check list and workflow
Ensure well coordination with Corporate Finance (CFT) and local companies on dividend declaration
Develop and design good Global Treasury reporting structure to ensure transparency on cash and risk positions of local companies in Asia Pacific
Responsible for coordination with treasury platform on requirements, Corporate Finance on allocation and banks on disbursement of Credit facilities
Maintain Banking Relationship, clear and open discussions are documented
Negotiate Transactional Pricing with banks to minimize transactional cost and optimize operational efficiency
Responsible for Bank account management based on Global bank account guidelines. Ensure and enhance bank account streamlining in Asia Pacific region
To identify, evaluate and drive the implementation of continuous improvement initiatives, digitalization, internal control requirements and any other project roll outs
To perform other duties as and when delegated
Requirements
Education :
Professional qualification in Finance (e.g. ACCA, CPA, etc.) or Bachelor’s degree in Finance / accounting
Working Experience :
Minimum 4 years in Corporate Finance and / or Treasury Function; Experience in banking Industry will be an advantage
Technical & Professional Knowledge :
Must have good knowledge of local countries regulations; strong self-motivation, reliability, and responsibility; strong leadership, collaboration and communication skills; high integrity; IT skills including Microsoft Office 365 (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), SAP and Business Warehouse, Data Analytic tools (PowerPivot, PBI, Tableau), and interest in digitalization trends
