As a member of the Asia Finance team, the General Ledger Accountant is responsible for managing key accounting functions within GBS, including quality control, audit preparation, and ensuring financial integrity. Executes accounting tasks in compliance. With our office based at UOA Business Park, Shah Alam, reports to the Superior in China.

Key Responsibilities

• Execute monthly closing activities according to the established timetable, ensuring the general ledger is accurately maintained and closed in a timely and efficient manner.
• Deliver timely and accurate financial reports in compliance with global and statutory standards. Provide management with monthly close analysis reports and relevant accounting insights.
• Process fixed asset transactions in the sub-ledger / module, ensuring all required supporting documentation is complete and available prior to processing.
• Conduct balance sheet reviews and account reconciliations, promptly addressing open items and taking corrective actions as needed.
• Prepare audit PBC (Prepared By Client) lists, and coordinate with internal and external auditors to support audit activities.
• Ensure compliance with annual statutory audit requirements. Assist in enforcing strict accounting standards and internal control procedures to achieve clear audit outcomes. Implement corrective actions based on audit findings.
• Participate in special projects and initiatives as assigned.
