Key Responsibility

  • Coordinate mold qualification plan.
  • Testing under simulated production conditions to evaluate its performance, including factors such as cycle time, material flow, cooling efficiency, and part ejection.
  • Design Verification : Ensuring that the mold design meets the requirements of the intended product, including dimensions, tolerances, and surface finish.
  • Prototype Testing : Producing a small batch of parts using the mold to verify its functionality and the quality of the produced parts. This step helps identify any potential issues early in the process.
  • Work closely with the production team to optimize injection molding processes, including cycle time reduction, material flow analysis, and temperature control.
  • Conduct mold trials, evaluate results, and fine-tune molding parameters for optimal performance.
  • Suggest and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Lead the design and development of complex and precision tooling, ensuring that designs meet production requirements and industry standards.
  • Review appropriate materials for tooling components, considering factors such as durability and cost-effectiveness (FMEA)
  • Collaborate with the design team to develop and optimize part geometry, and production requirements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including design, production, and quality control, to ensure tooling supports manufacturing goals and product specifications.
  • CSP ( Cost Saving Project ) Work on cost-effective tooling solutions and manage budgets for tooling projects.
  • Documentation : Maintain comprehensive records, including mold design specifications, process parameters, and quality control data.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Plastics Engineering, or related field
  • Minimum 2- 5 years' experience in tooling / process
  • Proven experience in plastic injection molding, mold design, and process optimization
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of plastic materials and their properties.
  • Familiarity with Lean and Six Sigma principles.
  • Experience with scientific molding techniques.
  • Project management skills for overseeing tooling and molding projects.
  • Work Environment : This role typically works in a manufacturing or production facility, where exposure to machinery and equipment is common.
  • Job Type : Full-time

    Pay : RM3, RM5,200.00 per month
