Commissioning Planning & Preparation
- Attend supplier kick‑off meetings to roll out package‑related commissioning requirements.
- Review supplier documents, ITR assignments and provide inputs for commissioning schedule.
- Prepare commissioning system boundary, procedures and deliverables.
- Analyse complex commissioning deliverables, highlight shortfalls and address them with the team.
- Develop onshore & offshore commissioning procedures.
- Support in developing project deliverables as per project & client requirements.
- Verify Class / SCE & Process safety performance standards in commissioning deliverables.
- Prepare & review company development methodology / procedures.
- Support the Commissioning Manager and Project Engineer in preparing required tools, utilities and other resources for commissioning activities.
- Develop, review and approve commissioning schedule for execution.
- Develop, review and approve commissioning scope of work to engage third‑party services.
- Identify and manage resource requirements to meet schedule and targets.
- Evaluate third‑party services engagement (technical) for commissioning scope.
Commissioning Execution
Lead the site execution team on pre‑commissioning and commissioning activities, managing interfaces with Construction and Pre‑Operations.Ensure adherence to operations safe system of work regarding all assigned system commissioning works of work.Act as responsible commissioning engineer (owner) for major systems as needed.Manage commissioning PTW, technicians, operations support, supplier support and CLASS witness to execute approved procedures and sign off test reports.Attend FAT & SAT depending on project requirements.Commission assigned systems, perform functional tests and certify with Class Society.Verify and close out all safety‑critical elements associated with commissioning.Ensure all regulatory and statutory testing and requirements are performed and records maintained.Maintain commissioning records of site observations, testing processes and checklists.Conduct risk assessments for the commissioning scope and perform toolbox meetings.Ensure technicians carry out activities safely and in accordance with site procedures and PTW requirements.Ensure preservation & maintenance activities are performed as per company procedures during commissioning.Plan day‑to‑day work, manage schedule and project targets.Execute pre‑commissioning and commissioning as per procedure and sign off documents with client representatives for system closure.Prepare timely and accurate technical reports for management.Assist offshore commissioning and facility startup.Lead the team to perform offshore start‑up, stabilization and performance testing.Plan and carry out audits of procedures, safety practices and documentation to ensure compliance.Commissioning Coordination
Work closely with MC Coordinator, Commissioning Coordinator for timely ITR, mechanical and commissioning completion.Coordinate with construction, commissioning engineers and external vendors.Interact with other engineering departments for obtaining vendor documents and details.Deal independently with regulatory authority, class, vendors and clients regarding comments or queries on deliverables.Participate in project meetings to review progress and address interface issues.Coordinate functional testing of commissioned systems and engage operations as needed.Identify potential disputes in design, contract and commissioning and provide technical mitigation.Interact with suppliers, subcontractors, yards, and clients for site support.Document lessons learnt and improvement opportunities.Incorporate best practices from past projects.Commissioning Services & FSR Management
Ensure subcontractor / FSR / third‑party services are completed on schedule.Relationship Responsibilities
Report as per corporate / project organization chart.Develop relationships with client technical or service personnel.Maintain good relationships with team members and motivate as required.Willingness to work and train others within the team environment.Discipline Specific – Telecom
Comprehensive knowledge of telecom system functionality & troubleshooting.Certified in ATEX or equivalent.Job Details
