APAC Recruitment Specialist at HFG Insurance Recruitment

The Financial Controller will provide strategic financial leadership and governance across Technology & Operations, acting as a trusted advisor to ensure financial integrity, compliance, and adaptability in a dynamic business landscape. This role oversees both business-as-usual (BAU) and transformation activities, supporting the Group CE FP&A strategy and the VCC proposition through effective financial control and partnership.

Responsibilities

  • Financial Governance & Controls : Develop, implement, and sustain strong financial control frameworks across Tech & Ops. Ensure full compliance with internal policies, audit standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Business Partnering : Work closely with senior management, project leads, and finance teams to deliver actionable financial insights, challenge assumptions, and support data-driven decision-making.
  • Reporting & Transparency : Produce accurate and timely financial reports with comprehensive variance analysis and commentary. Ensure transparency in cost allocations, recharges, and project expenditures.
  • Adaptability & Change Leadership : Manage evolving business priorities with agility, contributing to transformation and automation initiatives to enhance finance processes and efficiency.
  • Strategic Contribution : Align financial reporting and control processes with Group CE FP&A and VCC strategic goals, supporting scalable finance capability development across the organization.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline.
  • Professional accounting certification (e.g., CPA, ACCA, CA).
  • At least 10 years of finance experience with a strong background in controls, reporting, and business partnering.
  • Experience in technology or operations environments is an advantage.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proficiency with Oracle ERP, Power BI, and familiarity with transformation programs.
