Project Manager at OPerA Studio Architecture

OPerA Studio is a full‑service architecture and design firm based in Brooklyn, New York, with a satellite office in KL, Malaysia. We are seeking an Architectural Designer to join our team in Malaysia from January 2026.

Experience requirements

Part 2 degree in Architecture (or equivalent) with more than 1 year of full‑time experience
Part 1 degree in Architecture (or equivalent) with more than 3 years of full‑time experience

Responsibilities

Work on all phases of projects from concept to construction administration, including residential, commercial, hospitality and interior design projects located in Brooklyn and Manhattan.

Prepare technically competent design drawings and reference building codes, zoning and material systems.

Collaborate with the team to deliver high‑quality designs and support project delivery.

Qualifications

Fluency in English; additional languages are a plus.

Self‑initiative to kick‑start projects and tasks.

Ability to learn and grow with minimal guidance.

Design sensibility within complex zoning and building codes.

High degree of coordination skills with multiple tasks.

Interest in working with foreign projects.

Creativity to imagine spaces quickly and convey ideas with team members and clients.

Salary & Benefits

Salary RM 3,500–6,000 per month, commensurate with experience. Holiday, sick leave, flexible vacation time. Semi‑remote working arrangement – 2‑3 days in‑person, remainder remote.
