Good classroom management and communication skills. Proficiency in Bahasa Melayu, as RBT is taught in the national language. Job Overview – Reka Bentuk dan Teknologi (RBT) Teacher (Secondary)
Sekolah Sri UCSI is seeking a qualified and innovative Reka Bentuk dan Teknologi (RBT) Teacher to join our secondary school academic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching design and technology concepts that encourage creativity, problem-solving, and technical skills. This role requires hands-on teaching approaches, knowledge of the national RBT curriculum, and a passion for nurturing students' interest in design, engineering, and innovation.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging RBT lessons in accordance with the KSSM curriculum for secondary school students.
- Teach core topics such as design processes, product development, technical drawing, digital technology, electronics, and basic engineering concepts.
- Guide students through hands-on projects that develop their creativity, innovation, and practical skills.
- Introduce students to modern tools and technologies such as CAD software, 3D printing, and basic coding where applicable.
- Assess students through coursework, practical assignments, presentations, and exams; provide timely and constructive feedback.
- Promote collaborative learning through group projects and interactive classroom activities.
- Maintain a safe and organized workshop or lab environment, following safety procedures and protocols.
- Communicate regularly with parents or guardians regarding students' academic performance and development.
- Collaborate with colleagues to improve teaching methods and integrate interdisciplinary learning.
- Encourage student participation in STEM-related programs, design competitions, and innovation challenges.
