About the role
As a Sous Chef / Chef De Partie at THE BREW HOUSE, you will play a crucial role in our vibrant kitchen, working closely with the Head Chef to oversee the day-to-day culinary operations. This full-time position is based in our Penang location, where you will be responsible for leading and motivating a talented team of chefs to deliver exceptional dining experiences to our customers.
What you'll be doing
- Assist the Head Chef in all kitchen-related duties, including menu planning, food preparation, and quality control
- Oversee the execution of dishes, ensuring consistent high standards of taste and presentation
- Manage and train a team of chefs, fostering a positive, collaborative work environment
- Maintain strict adherence to food safety and hygiene regulations
- Contribute to the development and implementation of new menu items and culinary concepts
- Optimise kitchen operations and workflows to improve efficiency and productivity
- Liaise with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery
What we're looking for
Minimum 2 years of experience as a Sous Chef or Chef De Partie in a reputable restaurant or hotel kitchenFormal culinary training or a recognised chef's qualificationExceptional culinary skills with a strong understanding of various cooking techniques and cuisinesExcellent leadership and team-building abilities, with a passion for mentoring and developing junior chefsCreativity and innovative approach to menu development and food presentationThorough knowledge of food safety regulations and best practicesStrong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with the wider teamAbility to work well under pressure and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environmentWhat we offer
