Assistant Sales Manager (Medical Device)

We are currently seeking an individual with strong ambition, the ability to work independently and excellent negotiation skills. This role involves overseeing nationwide pharmacy and medical centre channel operations, planning sales terms and strategizing channel activities to achieve performance goals.

Key Account Management

Candidates with prior experience or familiarity in managing key accounts such as Watsons, BIG Pharmacy, Caring, Alpro, etc., will be given preference in the selection process.

Responsibilities

Propose new products, manage channel profitability and lead contract negotiations and administration.

Develop cooperation plans with regional dealers, conduct contract negotiations, provide education and training, and manage sales performance and returns.

Plan and execute channel-related promotional materials, product displays, scheduled campaigns and special incentive programs.

Review and evaluate marketing plans both internally and externally.

Mentor, motivate, and support the Medical Division sales team to achieve high performance.

Meet sales targets set by the company.

Achieve channel performance goals, manage budgets and optimize profitability.

Handle channel orders, monitor shipment status, analyse customer inventory and formulate sales improvement strategies.

Maintain professional, positive communication with procurement teams and dealers.

Gather and analyse market trends and customer data to provide actionable insights.

Recommend strategies to improve sales performance.

Support the expansion of line extension opportunities for medical devices.

Assist in identifying new target markets and key customer segments.

Participate in company and customer exhibitions and events.

Contribute to personnel training, development and retention.

Perform any other ad-hoc tasks assigned by your superior.

Requirements

Proven ability to negotiate contracts and secure favourable business terms.

Strong communication and leadership skills to train staff and provide technical support.

Minimum 5 years of experience in servicing chain pharmacy and medical centre accounts, including managing trading term agreements.

Strong analytical skills to evaluate sales data and develop effective business strategies.

Demonstrated leadership with the ability to coordinate and manage a business team effectively.

Proficiency in English, Bahasa Malaysia and Mandarin to effectively communicate with our diverse client base and stakeholders (preferred).

Must possess own transport and be willing to travel outstation.

For exceptional candidates, salary is negotiable and may be increased based on demonstrated skills and performance.
