Job Description
The incumbent will be in Global Centre of Excellence Team working together with APAC staff on day to-day basis as a collaborative team player, working seamlessly within the finance department and across various departments and countries, forming strong connections with local liaisons.
Job Responsibilities :
- Supervise team and oversee financial close process.
- Ensure all financial activities are completed timely and in accordance with corporate timeline, guidelines and policies.
- Financial activities include but not limited to :
o Preparation and posting of general ledger related entries (i.e. invoicing, interco,
payroll, accruals, prepayments, bank etc.)
o Monthly, quarterly and yearly closing activities and reporting. This includes
preparation of financial statements, GST reporting and tax computation
o Preparation of monthly reconciliation and schedules, reconciling group-level balances and facilitate prompt resolution of any discrepancies.
o Analysis of accounts
Ensure accuracy, completeness and timeliness of financial transactionsParticipate in process / continuous improvement initiativesWork closely with all stakeholders and as a team with other team members to ensure end deliverables and KPI are metProvide support for audit and tax related mattersPerform all other related tasks assigned from time to timeCoordinate with external auditors to meet external audit deadlinesAssist in the creation and implementation of new procedures and features to streamline departmental workflowsServe as the subject matter expert for relevant issues in communications with the business sites. Manage and assist in developing innovative and creative solutions that will help to resolve or minimize potential risk for our business sitesRequirements
Degree holder in accounting and / or finance or professional qualificationsAt least 7 years of working experience including 2+ years of management experience in asimilar capacity within a shared services set-up, prefer experience in stockbroking / asset
management background
Experience in the financial industry includes sound technical knowledge / experience inStockbroking / Asset Management Services.
Meticulous, analytical and a high degree of agilityStrong computer skills and experience with relevant software programsExcellent communication and presentation skillsAttention to detail and a high level of accuracy in workAbility to work effectively both independently and as part of a team to meet tight deadlinesAble to start immediatelyWorking hours : Mon to Fri 9am - 6pm
