Application Developer

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and deploy custom FileMaker database solutions based on business requirements

Create and maintain databases, layouts, scripts, and calculations to support various business processes

Optimize database performance and ensure data integrity and security

Requirements Analysis

Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and analyze requirements for new database solutions and enhancements

Translate business requirements into technical specifications and design documents

Provide recommendations for improvements and enhancements to existing FileMaker solutions

Testing and Quality Assurance

Conduct thorough testing of FileMaker solutions to ensure functionality, usability, and reliability

Identify and address bugs, errors, and performance issues through troubleshooting and debugging

Perform quality assurance checks to verify compliance with design specifications and user requirements

Documentation and Training

Create documentation, user guides, and training materials for FileMaker solutions

Train end users on how to use FileMaker databases effectively and provide ongoing support and assistance as needed

Maintain documentation of database structures, workflows, and configurations

Technical Support

Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance to end users for FileMaker-related issues

Respond to user inquiries, resolve problems, and escalate complex issues to higher-level support teams or vendors as necessary

Monitor system performance and proactively identify and address issues to minimize downtime and disruptions

Undertake other duties and responsibilities, which may be assigned by the Company from time to time with on time full closure

Job Requirements

Candidate must possess at least a Diploma, Advanced / Higher / Graduate Diploma, Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field

At least 1 year of relevant working experience is preferred

Experience with database management systems (e.g., SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL)

Experience with integrating FileMaker solutions with other systems and platforms is a plus

Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC)

Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
