Job Description :

Market Monitoring and Reporting

Analyse palm oil production-related data to support outlook on supply fundamentals and guide internal market views. The role includes responsibility for daily business-as-usual operational reporting to ensure internal alignment and decision-making readiness. Track and analyse global developments in vegetable oil markets. Develop and publish regular market updates covering key indicators across major origins.

Supply and Demand Analyses

Maintain and update global vegetable oil supply and demand models. Collaborate with internal and external sources to enhance accuracy and transparency in market projections. Assist in generating short to medium term scenario analyses based on fundamentals and macroeconomics factors.

Stakeholder Engagement

Prepare market outlook for Board submission and other relevant stakeholders. Liaise with industry players, data providers, and internal stakeholders to gather market sentiment and intelligence. Support trading and commercial teams with data-backed recommendations. Participate in key industry events to remain informed on market happenings.

Digital and Automation Initiatives

Support digital transformation projects related to market analytics and data consolidation. Enhance analytical capabilities by leveraging AI tools, machine learning, etc. to gain market insights.

Ideal Candidate

• Data Science background
• Knowledge in commodity markets
• Knowledge in trading
• Programming ability (e.g., Python or other programming languages)
• Knowledge in Machine Learning (e.g., R)
• Experience with Data Analytics, Automation, and Power BI
• Minimum 2 years working experience
• Fresh graduates encouraged to apply
