a) Assistant Manager – Quality Assurance & Halal

Job Purpose :

The Quality Assurance & Halal Assistant Manager ensures all food products from the central kitchen meet safety, quality, and halal compliance standards. This role supports daily operations by overseeing quality control, conducting audits, managing certification requirements, and ensuring consistent adherence to regulatory and brand standards.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Implement and maintain HACCP, GMP, HALAL, MESTI, and other relevant certifications.
  • Conduct daily quality checks, hygiene audits, and non-compliance investigations.
  • Oversee raw material, in-process, and finished goods quality monitoring.
  • Coordinate internal and external audits, including halal certification processes and renewals.
  • Provide training and awareness to staff on food safety, hygiene, and halal practices.
  • Collaborate with production and R&D teams to address quality or formulation issues.
  • Manage documentation, SOPs, and traceability records for quality and halal processes.

Qualifications and Experiences :

  • Bachelor's degree in food science, Microbiology, Food Tech, or related field.
  • Minimum 3–5 years of QA experience in food manufacturing or central kitchen environment.
  • Familiar with Malaysian food regulations, HALAL certification, and food safety standards.
  • Strong analytical, documentation, and audit handling skills.
  • b) Executive – Quality Assurance & Halal

    Job Purpose :

    The Quality Assurance Executive supports the implementation of food safety and quality control standards in the central kitchen. The role is responsible for executing inspection procedures, monitoring hygiene practices, and assisting in audit readiness to ensure that all products meet the required safety, regulatory, and quality benchmarks for retail distribution to Korean convenience stores.

    Key Responsibilities :

  • Conduct daily quality checks on raw materials, in-process items, and finished products.
  • Monitor hygiene, sanitation, and food safety practices on the production floor.
  • Support the implementation of HACCP, HALAL, GMP, MESTI, and ISO food safety standards.
  • Record and report any deviations or non-conformance; follow up on corrective actions.
  • Assist in preparation and participation in internal and external audits.
  • Maintain QA documentation, including checklists, SOPs, and traceability records.
  • Collaborate with production, R&D, and maintenance teams to uphold product quality.
  • Qualifications and Experiences :

  • Diploma or Degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Microbiology, or related field.
  • Minimum 1–3 years' experience in QA / QC in a food production or manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge of food safety regulations and certification requirements (HALAL, HACCP, etc.).
  • Detail-oriented with strong documentation and communication skills.
  • Able to work on shifts or weekends if required.
