Manager, Business Development- GEGM Ipoh Job Purpose Responsible for the sales, management and profitability of the agents and assist the Division Head to meet the Agency Distribution objectives and goals. The Job : Achieve yearly growth target of the branch. Conserve renewals and grow the agency force through grooming and recruitment. Ensure the development of portfolio mix and achieving underwriting profit in alignment with Company appetite. Conduct risks inspection and acceptance whilst exercising the Underwriting Authority Limit as assigned by the Company. Ensure effective and efficient support in managing the agents and their customers. Provide guidance to the staff under their care in areas of technical knowledge and career path. Work with other stakeholders as required by the Company. Takes accountability in considering business and regulatory compliance risks and takes appropriate steps to mitigate the risks. Maintains awareness of industry trends on regulatory compliance, emerging threats and technologies in order to understand the risk and better safeguard the company. Highlights any potential concerns / risks and proactively shares best risk management practices.
