Summary :
The Operations Coordinator is responsible for ensuring smooth and efficient coordination of air and sea freight shipments. This role requires excellent organizational and communication skills to process customer orders, arrange transport, and manage customs clearance while maintaining strong relationships with customers and internal teams.
Duties and Responsibilities :
- Ensure timely and accurate handling of cargo, conduct billings input, statement reconciliation and payment / outstanding collection
- Liaise with airlines, ground handling agents, and other service providers to secure cargo space and negotiate rates
- Prepare and process airway bills, shipping documents, and customs clearance paperwork in compliance with regulations
- Resolve customs clearance problems or transportation disruptions
- Ensure adherence to safety and security procedures in the handling and transportation of air cargo
- Maintain accurate records of shipments, expenses, and operational activities for reporting and analysis
- Monitor flight schedules, track shipments, and provide regular updates to customers regarding the status of their cargo
- Contribute to process improvement initiatives and assist in implementing new technologies or systems to enhance efficiency
- Stay informed about industry trends, regulations, and best practices to optimize air freight operations
Required Skills and Abilities :
Minimum 2–3 years' experience in freight forwarding.Knowledge of customs declaration processes.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Possess a pleasant personality and a positive working attitude.A good team player with the ability to work independently.Ability to multi-task effectively.Computer literate, with preference for familiarity with CW1 system.Proficiency in Chinese is preferred since this role needs to handle Chinese clients.Physical Requirements :
