Deputy Manager – Purchasing (Manufacturing / Semiconductor Industry)

_Location : Kulim, Kedah | Full-Time | On-Site

We are representing a leading multinational in the semiconductor and precision manufacturing industry.

We are seeking a highly experienced Deputy Manager

– Purchasing to drive procurement strategies, manage supplier relationships, and optimize logistics operations.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Lead strategic sourcing, supplier evaluations, and high-value negotiations.
  • Oversee purchase orders and contract management, ensuring accuracy and compliance. -Build and maintain strong vendor relationships; drive supplier performance improvements.
  • Collaborate with inventory, production, and sales teams to manage material requirements and stock levels.
  • Ensure compliance with procurement policies, customs regulations, and shipping documentation (K1, K2, K8, Lampiran D, etc.).
  • Manage logistics operations, including import / export, freight forwarding, and local distribution.
  • Analyze procurement costs and identify opportunities for cost reduction and process improvement.

Key Requirements :

  • Degree in Supply Chain, Business, Logistics, or a related field.
  • 8–10 years of procurement / purchasing experience, including 3–5 years in a managerial or deputy manager role.
  • Proven background in manufacturing / semiconductor / electronics.
  • Strong knowledge of supplier management, contract negotiations, and logistics operations.
  • Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
  • Fluent in English and Bahasa Malaysia (Mandarin is an added advantage).

    Pay : RM5, RM13,564.01 per month
