Position : Integration Engineer

Location : Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia

Responsibilities :

Prepare and maintain timely technical documentation of design, specifications, and integration solutions in line with business requirements and project standards.

Develop and deliver integration coding in alignment with the project schedule.

Ensure compliance with System Development Guidelines, coding standards, and quality benchmarks.

Deliver highly reliable integration solutions that meet functional requirements and user expectations.

Collaborate with stakeholders, including frontend / backend developers and business users, throughout the full SDLC.

Build and reuse reusable integration components, shared modules, and common services according to specifications.

Guide and review junior developers' code (for Senior Integration Engineer role).

Stay updated with emerging integration technologies and their application in business environments.

Participate in Agile / Scrum ceremonies and contribute to iterative delivery.

Troubleshoot, test, and optimize integration solutions.

Requirements :

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science / Information Technology or equivalent.

Minimum

3+ years of experience in application / system integration development

Hands-on expertise with

integration methods

: SOAP, REST, MQ, XML, JSON, Kafka.

Practical experience with

ESB tools

(preferably IBM Integration Bus / IBM App Connect Enterprise).

Strong knowledge of

Java

, relational databases (DB2 / Oracle), and advanced

SQL programming

Familiarity with

Agile / Scrum delivery methodology

Experience with

cloud platforms

(AWS, Azure) is an advantage.

Insurance industry domain knowledge is a plus.

Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and handle project pressures.

Main Skills Required :

Integration Tools & Methods

– SOAP, REST, MQ, Kafka, XML / JSON.

Middleware / ESB Platforms

– IBM Integration Bus, IBM App Connect, MuleSoft (advantage if transferable).

Programming & Databases

– Java, SQL, Oracle / DB2.

Cloud Skills

– AWS, Azure (preferred).

Agile & DevOps Fundamentals

– Version control (Git), testing, CI / CD exposure.

Soft Skills

– Team collaboration, communication, adaptability, and independent problem-solving.
