Ensure project compliance to electrical utility interconnection standards and guidelines, establish project interconnection requirements.
Liaison with local authorities / electrical utilities concerning system and interface requirements, system study application process, and obtaining authority approval.
Participation in client meetings and site visits to collect electrical system and design data.
Conduct power system modelling using power system software based on collected electrical system data.
Manage and perform system studies such as steady state analysis, transient stability, protection discrimination studies, power quality analysis, energization studies, quasi-dynamic studies, etc.
Present findings / outcome of system studies to end-user / client / developer and electrical utility.
Provide value engineering solutions and engineering mitigations (if any) to end-user / client / developer and electrical utility based on outcome of the system studies.
Provide design specifications and equipment sizing for power infrastructure such as interconnection switchyard, power plant substation, transformers, cables, breakers.
Prepare design drawings for power system infrastructure.
Performing electrical load profile measurement work in electrical substation or consumer electrical room under the supervision of electrical competent person (if required by client).
Conducting guided research and development (R&D) activities to develop new services or expansion of current services based on company management business direction.
