Overview

Sunway College invites applications for a Lecturer in Computer Science with focus on curriculum development and EdTech integration. This is a full-time on-site role based in the Federal Territory of Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The Lecturer will deliver lectures on computer science and related subjects, develop curriculum, and provide guidance and mentorship to students.

The successful candidate will teach Cambridge International A Level Computer Science (9618) , covering topics such as programming and algorithm design, data representation, computer architecture, networking, databases and system software, and artificial intelligence and machine learning concepts. You will work with motivated students preparing for Cambridge AS & A Level examinations , helping them build both academic understanding and practical programming skills.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons aligned with the CAIE 9618 syllabus
  • Prepare teaching materials, assessments, and practical activities
  • Guide students in Python programming and algorithmic thinking
  • Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field
  • Experience teaching A Level / pre-university / foundation programmes preferred
  • Familiarity with the Cambridge International curriculum
  • Excellent communication and classroom management skills
