Role Overview
This role is responsible to manage an efficient and effective Procurement operation for the procurement of materials, supplies, equipment, and services based upon Procurement policy and procedures and align with companys objectives.
Responsibilities
Sourcing & Contracting
- Develop sourcing strategies, conduct market research, and evaluate suppliers.
- Negotiate and manage contracts, ensuring compliance with terms, regulations, and service levels.
Requisition & Purchase Order Management
Oversee requisitions, approvals, and issuance of purchase orders.Ensure accurate, timely procurement transactions in line with policies and budgets.Work with Accounts Payable on invoice / payment processing.Vendor Management
Build and maintain strong supplier relationships.Monitor supplier performance, resolve issues, and drive continuous improvement.Strategic Alignment & Stakeholder Management
Work closely with internal stakeholders to understand business needs and ensure alignment of procurement strategies with organizational goals.Act as a trusted advisor to internal stakeholders on procurement strategies, risk mitigation, and cost optimization.Policy, Risk Management & Compliance (Governance Enhancement)
Develop, communicate, and update procurement policies and procedures.Train stakeholders to ensure adherence to guidelines and best practices.Identify and manage procurement risks, ensuring supplier compliance with ethical, legal, and regulatory standards.Support audit requirements and maintain documentation for transparency and accountability.Reporting & Data Management
Track procurement KPIs and prepare regular management reports.Analyze spend and performance data to identify cost savings and process improvements.Maintain accurate, cleansed procurement data.Project & Change Management
Lead procurement-related projects, ensuring alignment with timelines and budgets.Support change management in processes, systems, and policies.Collaborate cross-functionally to address business needs.Continuous Improvement & Innovation
Streamline procurement processes and adopt technology solutions.Drive quality assurance, compliance, and innovation in sourcing and procurement practices.Qualifications
WHAT DOES IT TAKE TO BE SUCCESSFUL
Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Commerce, Finance, Banking or equivalent.Work Experience
5+ years of working experience in Procurement function.Preferably Executives specializing in Purchasing / Inventory / Material & Warehouse Management or equivalent.Skills & Competencies
Good negotiation and analytic skills, proactive and willing to learn.Basic understanding on S2P (sourcing to payment).Excellent knowledge of MS Office (particularly Excel) and ERP software.The ability to be detail oriented but can visualize the larger impact of a series of transactions.Process-oriented with an understanding of both financial and operational controls.Comfortable working with manual and automated processesExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsStrong written and verbal communication skills, excellent interpersonal skills, and an ability to work with diverse groups of people.Action orientated to deliver results effectively.Service oriented attitude and able to adapt to changes quickly.Adherence to laws and best practices in regard to dealing with vendors and data.#J-18808-Ljbffr
