Overview MyTOWN Shopping Centre is a super-regional shopping centre for friends and family on the fringes of the Central Business District of Kuala Lumpur. The shopping centre is a one-stop destination for shopping, dining and entertainment with more than 400 stores. Anchored by IKEA, MyTOWN Shopping Centre is set to deliver a fantastic customer experience with a vibrant mix of retailers. MyTOWN Shopping Centre is developed jointly by Boustead Holdings Berhad and Ikano Pte. Ltd.

Job Description Purpose of the Job

Lead, mentor and develop a high-performance Marcom team to achieve marketing objectives and contribute to a successful business plan. Responsible for successfully executing and delivering a fantastic customer experience to shoppers. Cross-functional collaboration with tenants and IKEA Cheras to ensure unique, holistic campaign executions. Working with other related departments to smoothen operational execution successfully.

Responsibilities of the Job

Develop marketing strategies and an overall Marcom plan with the consideration of partners, anchors, tenants while efficiently utilising the approved budget to achieve marketing objectives

Reinforce brand identity and positioning with ATL, BTL and TTL strategies

Maintain strong market presence with increased Brand Awareness

Draw shopper footfall

Encourage retail sales

Highlight retailers

Establish and maintain a good network of contacts with tenants, government agencies, tourism bodies, charities, corporate organizations for joint promotions and sponsorship opportunities and to improve brand perception

Budgeting and forecasting operational and capital expenditure for Marcom

Enhance Customer Journey Mapping through events, decorations, wayfinding and shopper engagement experiences

Enhance Customer Experience through digital with content creation and curation via Digital and Social Media

Communicate to intra department and internal teams to ensure relevant activities are effectively utilized

Engage with other functional teams while developing business analysis and complex problem-solving skills

Drive marketing direction with the team to grow the business with regional support

Manage PR aspects of potential crises

Qualifications

Diploma in Public Relations, Retail, Merchandising, Marketing, Communications, or related field

Any related course or professional course attended

5 - 8 years of experience

Knowledge

5-8 years of experience in Retail, Design, Marketing, Digital Marketing, Public Relations, Communications, or related field

Strong understanding of customer and marketing dynamics and requirements. Knowledge of current retail trends and practices, including digital strategies

Effective communicator with proficiency in English; knowledge of a second language (Chinese and / or Bahasa Malaysia) is a plus

Demonstrated ability to increase productivity and continuously improve methods

Creative as well as analytical; ability to solve problems creatively with integrity

Experience in budgeting and forecasting, multitasking with ability to prioritize and meet deadlines

Strong negotiator, team player with analytical skills and business acumen

Leadership with mentoring skills and ability to coach team members

Ability to develop rapport with people at all levels

Excellent presentation skills with ability to inspire action
