Join the Canva team redefining how the world experiences design. We engage Contractors and Freelancers worldwide. This remote role is based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
What You’d Be Doing In This Role
As Canva scales, change is part of our DNA. This will give you the flavour of the work, which may evolve over time. You’ll operate at the intersection of community and international growth, working with Canva’s Malaysia team to contribute to brand love in-market, owning community growth from ideation to execution. Currently focused on :
Own the growth & development of our community programs and online groups in Malaysia
Foster a vibrant and positive community atmosphere in the groups you oversee
Be active daily in your groups, respond to inquiries, comments, and concerns
Conceptualise and develop initiatives to support local marketing strategies and campaigns, including maintaining a local content calendar
Grow, nurture, and inspire a countrywide network of brand advocates
Partner with local schools & education organisations to share Canva tools for educators
Host webinars and in-person workshops for teachers, education professionals, and creatives
Participate in and drive community participation at local conferences and events
Localise campaigns with global and regional teams to meet business goals
Translate global assets into the local language
Collaborate with the local cross-functional team to ensure alignment with market goals
Create periodic reports and track KPIs to assess impact and identify growth opportunities
You're probably a match if Experience in community management or related field with a track record of growing and engaging communities (experience in education sector a plus)
Experience with community tools (Canva, Facebook Groups, Discord, Hubspot, Mailchimp, Monday.com, Google Suite, Looker)
Creative thinker with hands-on content creation for brands and video editing skills
Strong knowledge of social platforms, video content, campaigns, trends, and insights
Analytical mindset and ability to understand Canva’s audiences and make data-driven decisions
Ability to drive alignment between stakeholders in a fast-paced environment
Problem-solving mindset with opportunities for continuous improvements
Excellent written, visual, and verbal communication and ability to manage multiple priorities
Ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders
Balance big-picture thinking with short-term needs
Self-starter with execution focus and adaptability to market trends
Full proficiency in English and Malay
