Junior / Mid-level / Senior Developer (BA)

Business Unit / Function : Currency Choice

Reports to : Product Development Manager

Location : Kuala Lumpur - Malaysia

Job type : Permanent

Workload : 100%

Nature and aim of the position

Global Blue a leading provider of Tax Free and Payment solutions are looking for Senior Software Developers to join our platform development team in Kuala Lumpur.

The person will gather, analyze, and document business requirements to determine business use-case, functional and technical requirements that are used in delivering increments of Dynamic Currency Conversion (Suite) product artefacts. The role will interact with business managers, technical project managers and / or end-users to define business requirements and / or necessary modifications.

The role will work on mission-critical applications, managing .net / C# in system applications development while providing expertise in the full software development lifecycle, from concept and design to testing. Hands-on Programming will be needed as part of the role as well as a good understanding of MSSQL database improvements.

Finally, you will assist with developing and supporting implementation, certification, testing and migration strategies, implementation plans and operational support documentation.

Main duties and responsibilities

  • Gather, analyze, optimize and document user requirements
  • Bridge the gap between the team and stakeholders in ensuring that the planned work is according to the users' need
  • Ensure the best possible performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications
  • Identify bottlenecks and bugs, and devise solutions to these problems
  • Work as part of a SCRUM team in development, testing and L3 support

Reporting and collaboration

  • The holder of the position reports to a Product Development Manager.
  • The holder of the position manages and works daily with UoV team
  • The holder of the position collaborates with the other developers, QA testers and Business Units

    • Must Have Skills / Competencies

  • NN+ years good experience in business analysis – translating and optimizing requirements into deliverable items
  • Solid writing and communication skills in presenting items clearly to the team / stakeholders
  • Strong fundamentals coordination, planning, and backlog management in scrum environment
  • Proven experience in C# programming and MS SQL queries
  • Experience working in fast paced environments with parallel projects in scope

    • Nice to Have

  • Scrum framework and tools (Jira, Confluence, BitBucket, Jenkins)
  • DCC / Payment Industry Experience
  • Experience in Azure / Cloud environments & Kubernetes

    • Education and qualifications

  • Computer Science or Engineering degree or relevant work experience
  • Solid understanding of Agile (SCRUM) framework
  • Experience in payment / finance industry will be an added advantage
