Location : Perai – Pulau Pinang – Malaysia. Full‑time role within the Global Workplace Solutions (GWS) segment.
About the Role
As a Technical Supervisor, you will oversee a team responsible for providing administrative, process improvement and financial function support to senior technical business leaders. The role is part of the Engineering and Technical Services function, focusing on preventive maintenance, repairs, and support for equipment and systems.
What You’ll Do
- Act as liaison with technical business leaders, facilities managers, and other internal and external clients to forecast workload demand and project deliverables.
- Manage, plan, coordinate, schedule, and oversee the workload, deadlines, and day‑to‑day activities of the support team members to ensure effective delivery of services.
- Work with business leaders to resolve conflicting priorities.
- Coordinate and supervise the team’s daily activities.
- Apply advanced knowledge to develop new, better methods for accomplishing individual and departmental objectives.
- Showcase expertise in own job discipline and in‑depth knowledge of other disciplines within the organization.
- Coach others to develop expertise in most or all areas within the function.
- Lead by example and model behaviours that are consistent with CBRE RISE values.
- Anticipate potential objections and persuade others, often at senior levels, to adopt a different perspective.
- Impact the achievement of customer, operational, project, or service objectives across multi‑discipline teams.
- Contribute to new products, processes, standards, and / or operational plans to support functional goals.
- Communicate difficult and complex ideas with the ability to influence.
What You’ll Need
High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 5‑8 years of related experience. In lieu of a diploma, a combination of experience and education will be considered. Prior shift‑leader or supervisory experience preferred.Ability to meet physical requirements, including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs or ladders, and lifting or carrying heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more.Innovative mentality to develop methods that go beyond existing solutions.Ability to solve unique problems using standard and innovative solutions with broad impact on the business.In‑depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).Expert organisational skills and an advanced inquisitive mindset.Highly sophisticated math skills, including calculating percentages, fractions, and other financial‑related calculations.Why CBRE
