JOB PURPOSE
- This role is responsible for leading and managing Basel III credit risk-related projects for the Group Risk Management function. It plays a critical role in ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within scope, and inpliance to Bank Negara Malaysia (BNM) Basel III Capital Adequacy Framework Credit Risk Regulatory requirements. The Project Manager will be the key driver of these initiatives, coordinating cross-functional teams, managing stakeholder engagement, and working closely with external consultants on project execution and change management to support the Bank's strategic objectives.
ACCOUNTABILITIES
Develop and maintain aprehensive project plan and charter, including a detailed timeline, key activities, milestones, resource allocation and risk mitigation plans.Design, establish, and implement projecternance standards, including setting up a project progress tracker and a project steeringmittee; monitor status against plans, resolve project-related issues; and ensure timely delivery of key deliverables.Track and manage project progress, including project scope, budget, timeline, risks, challenges, issues, dependencies, and benefits.Proactively provideprehensive updates to the senior management and the Board, taking ownership of assigned plans and action items.Lead the development of a BNMmunication and engagement programme to proactively update BNM on the project status.Ensure the team is well-versed in BNM Basel III CAF Credit Risk requirements to support the effective implementation and regulatorypliance.Work with consultants to implement change management initiatives supporting the adoption and usage of Credit Risk IRB processes andponents ( PD, LGD and EAD) in credit decisioning.Act as the primary point of contact for all project stakeholders, including senior management, regulatory bodies, internal teams, and external consultants, to ensure successful project implementation.Facilitate regularmunication through status reports, project steeringmittee meetings, and senior management updates to ensure transparency and alignment.Build and maintain strong relationship across bank functions to drive organisational readiness, acceptance, and a strong risk culture.JOB REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's degree and / or professional qualification or equivalent.At least 8 years of experience in project management within the financial services industry, preferably in credit risk or regulatory transformation project.An in-depth understanding of and experience working in a banking environment to implement large-scale, bank-wide projects.Experienced in leading and executing end-to-end project lifecycles from initiation till closure, demonstrating clear examples of achieving project oues.Demonstrated ability to independently manage and drive large scale projects.Strong written and verbal Englishmunication skills; efficient time management, strong problem-solving and analytical skills; and good interpersonal skills.Ability to manage multiple tasks and coordinate with cross-functional stakeholders.Job ID JR103096
