The Branch Manager is responsible for leading, managing, and developing the overall performance of the branch in alignment with Mili EV Hybrid’s strategic goals. This includes overseeing workshop operations, customer satisfaction, staff performance, inventory control, training activities, and ensuring profitability targets are achieved while maintaining high safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
1. Operational Management
Oversee daily workshop operations, ensuring smooth workflow from customer intake to job completion.
Manage service schedules, technician assignments, and ensure productivity and job quality.
Monitor branch KPIs (revenue, service turnaround, cost efficiency, and customer satisfaction).
Ensure all repairs and maintenance are performed according to company SOPs and OEM standards.
Oversee inventory and procurement processes in coordination with the Inventory Executive.
2. Financial & Business Performance
Drive branch sales and service targets to meet monthly and quarterly revenue goals.
Manage cost control, budgeting, and profitability of the branch.
Prepare monthly performance reports, including revenue, expenses, and inventory usage.
Identify opportunities to increase sales through upselling, training packages, and service campaigns.
3. Customer Relations
Lead customer service initiatives to enhance satisfaction and retention.
Handle escalated customer complaints or issues with professionalism and prompt resolution.
Ensure all customer records, service histories, and warranty claims are properly documented.
4. Staff Management & Development
Supervise and motivate branch staff including Service Advisors, Technicians, and Admins.
Conduct regular team meetings, coaching sessions, and performance evaluations.
Identify training needs and coordinate with the Training Department for technical upskilling.
Promote a positive work culture emphasizing teamwork, integrity, and continuous improvement.
5. Safety, Compliance & Facility
Enforce all health, safety, and environmental policies at the branch.
Ensure facility cleanliness, equipment maintenance, and readiness at all times.
Ensure all licenses, permits, and compliance documents are up to date.
6. Strategic & Reporting Duties
Act as the liaison between HQ and branch for operational execution.
Provide feedback and insights on market trends, customer needs, and competitor activities.
Participate in management reviews, planning, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Job Requirements
Education
Diploma or Degree in Automotive Engineering, Business Management, or related field.
Experience
Minimum 5 years in automotive service management, including at least 2 years in a supervisory or branch-level leadership role. EV / Hybrid experience preferred.
Technical Knowledge
Strong understanding of workshop processes, EV / Hybrid systems, customer handling, and basic financial management.
Skills
Leadership, problem-solving, people management, time management, and customer service excellence.
Software
Familiar with workshop management systems, inventory software, and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
Language
Proficient in Bahasa Malaysia and English (spoken and written). Mandarin is an advantage.
Other Attributes
Hands‑on, results‑driven, decisive, adaptable, and able to work under pressure. Possess own transport.
