About the role : As an Account Assistant at Georgetown City Hotel Penang, you will play a vital role in supporting the hotel's finance team. This full-time position is based in George Town, Penang and offers an opportunity to develop your skills in bookkeeping and accounting within the dynamic hospitality industry.

What you'll be doing

  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records, including accounts payable and receivable
  • Assisting with the preparation of monthly financial reports and statements
  • Reconciling bank statements and various accounts
  • Processing invoices, expense claims and other financial transactions
  • Providing administrative support to the finance team as needed
  • Ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards and procedures

What we\'re looking for

  • Relevant diploma or degree in accounting, finance or a related field
  • 1-2 years of experience in a bookkeeping or accounting role, preferably within the hospitality industry
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial data processing
  • Proficiency in using accounting software and Microsoft Office applications
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and ethical practices
