Job Description :

Market monitoring & reporting of BAU’s

  • Analyze palm oil production-related data (e.g., yield trends, replanting impact, weather patterns) to support outlook on supply fundamentals and guide internal market views.
  • Ensure the smooth execution of daily operational reporting for internal alignment and decision-making.
  • Track and analyze global developments in vegetable oil markets.
  • Develop and publish regular market updates (daily & monthly) covering key indicators across major origins.

Supply and Demand Analyses

  • Maintain and update global vegetable oil supply and demand models, focusing on supply side.
  • Collaborate with internal and external sources to enhance market projection accuracy and transparency.
  • Assist in generating short to medium-term scenario analyses based on fundamentals and macroeconomic factors.

    • Stakeholder Engagement

  • Prepare market outlook reports for Board submissions and other relevant purposes.
  • Liaise with industry players, data providers, and internal stakeholders to gather market sentiment and intelligence.
  • Support trading and commercial teams with data-backed recommendations.
  • Participate in industry events to stay updated on market developments.
  • Ensure easy access to all data, reports, and information related to Market Research and Strategy.

    • Digital & Automation Initiatives

  • Support digital transformation projects related to market analytics and data consolidation.
  • Leverage AI tools, machine learning, etc., to enhance analytical capabilities and gain market insights.

    • Ideal Candidate

  • Background in Data Science.
  • Knowledge of commodity markets and trading.
  • Programming skills (e.g., Python or other languages).
  • Knowledge of Machine Learning (e.g., R).
  • Experience with Data Analytics, Automation, and Power BI.
  • Minimum 2 years of working experience; fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
