About UOB Innovation Hub 2
UOB Innovation Hub 2 (InnoHub2) is a UOB‑wholly owned subsidiary and a Centre of Excellence based in Malaysia, providing Group Business Services (GBS) to support the UOB Group. Started in 2021 with technology application design, development and support, InnoHub2 is expanding beyond technology services to deliver other business services to support the Bank’s growth ambition. We are looking for talented and motivated individuals to be part of the pioneer team spearheading the development and delivery of the new services. As part of the InnoHub2 team, you will have the opportunity to work on Group initiatives and gain regional business exposure.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage environments, proactively identifying and resolving conflicts; escalated recurring issues to leadership for long‑term solutions.
- Demonstrated experience in conflict resolution and incident management within environment operations.
- Administrative expertise in messaging platforms such as WebSphere MQ, Sterling Connect : Direct, SFTP, and APIs.
- Hands‑on support experience with server and environment technologies including Solaris, Linux, and Oracle Database.
- Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools, including Jenkins, JIRA, Confluence and release management.
- Proficient in scripting languages such as Shell, Python, and Groovy.
- Solid understanding of containerization technologies and deployment methods.
- Technical knowledge of AS400 and Mainframe systems.
- Collaborate closely with system architects and program managers to ensure efficient environment management.
- Maintain and regularly update environment inventories and usage logs.
- Provide support for connectivity setup and troubleshoot issues across all testing environments.
- Liaise with external vendors to ensure timely support and delivery of environment‑related services.
- Manage internal resources for environment provisioning and maintenance.
- Facilitate environment requirement gathering, booking reviews, conflict resolution, and allocation processes.
- Coordinate data restoration and sizing activities for conversion, migration, and functional testing; ensure test data availability during mock runs.
- Govern environment availability by planning and coordinating maintenance activities, assessing downtime impact, and communicating schedules to stakeholders.
- Monitor and report on the technical and functional health of environments.
- Experience with open systems including Linux, Windows, VMware, and various database platforms.
- Knowledge of data center operations and disaster recovery (DR) procedures.
- Prepare and deliver weekly and monthly reports on environment status and availability.
Job Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.Minimum 10 years of experience in environment management or coordination.Strong understanding of testing lifecycle and environment dependencies.Experience with Test environment Management.Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.Familiarity with financial systems and / or banking systems architecture.Experience in managing large environments and migration coordination.Knowledge of AS400, Mainframe, patching, and RDR processes.Resource and Vendor Management, if required.Additional Requirements
