Dental Surgery Assistant

Job Responsibilities :

• Prepare treatment rooms, patients, instruments, and materials to support efficient dental care delivery.
• Organize and set up treatment rooms in accordance with dental protocols and procedures.
• Assist with dental procedures before, during, and after treatment.
• Sterilize and deliver instruments, position them for the dentist, perform suctioning, and pass instruments as needed.
• Select, mix, and place dental materials on instruments and in the patient's mouth.
• Welcome, comfort, seat, and drape patients prior to treatment.
• Assist in documenting clinical examinations (e.g., charting).
• Take and develop dental X-rays, and assist in pouring, trimming, and polishing study casts.
• Ensure strict adherence to infection control at all times.
• Provide information and basic support to patients, responding to relevant inquiries.
• Maintain patient appearance and function by fabricating temporary restorations and cleaning / polishing removable appliances.
• Familiarity with dental terminology, procedures, and inventory management is an advantage.
