Overview

We are seeking an experienced Oracle Database Administrator with strong expertise in Oracle Real Application Clusters (RAC) to manage, monitor, and optimize high-availability database environments. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in installation, configuration, monitoring, and performance tuning of Oracle RAC systems, along with database patching, security hardening, and disaster recovery implementation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install, configure, and administer Oracle RAC databases to ensure high availability, scalability, and fault tolerance.
  • Monitor and maintain RAC environments, performing proactive health checks, tuning, and troubleshooting cluster-related issues.
  • Implement and manage Oracle Data Guard with RAC for disaster recovery and high-availability solutions.
  • Perform database patching, upgrades, and security hardening activities to maintain compliance and stability.
  • Manage database backup, recovery, and failover strategies to ensure minimal downtime and data integrity.
  • Collaborate with infrastructure and application teams to support database-related requirements, optimize queries, and enhance performance.
  • Develop and maintain SOPs, documentation, and automation scripts for database administration tasks.
  • Provide 24x7 support for critical production environments, including performance troubleshooting and RCA for incidents.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Strong experience in Oracle RAC installation, configuration, and administration .
  • Hands-on expertise with Oracle Data Guard in RAC environments .
  • Experience with database patching, upgrades, and security hardening .
  • Proficiency in database backup, restore, recovery strategies, and disaster recovery planning.
  • Good understanding of Oracle ASM, RMAN, and database monitoring tools.
  • Strong SQL and performance tuning skills.
  • Knowledge of Linux / Unix environments for Oracle RAC deployments.
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and documentation skills.

    • Preferred Qualifications

  • Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) – RAC or related certifications.
  • Experience working in large-scale, mission-critical environments with 24x7 support.
  • Familiarity with automation tools and scripting (Shell, Python, Ansible).
