Product Design & Integration Senior Staff Engineer

Responsibilities

Responsibilities include :

• Lead package design meeting customer expectations ie. technical requirements.
• Lead manufacturability for new product introduction.
• Create drawings and validate design concepts to determine the best product
• Lead technical risk assessment / brainstorming and design simulation of product / design ideas with relevant team members
• Work with cross functional team to create and test prototype to validate design.
• Liaise closely with Application Engineering team.
• Able to translate application related requirements to product.
• Understand and incorporate LED packaging technology, reliability requirements and design guidelines into product designs.
• Lead investigation and analysis of technical issues and active involvement in implementation of solutions for design improvement
• Active participation in Team based problem solving efforts. (e.g. Focus Team).
• Consistent in self-development, upgrading overall performance by maintaining organizational knowledge through design guideline, design rules, supplier capability, knowledge management system & actively participating in internal and external knowledge sharing (Technical symposium, trade shows, etc).
• Maintain up to date on current industry trends
• Excellent team player
