What You Will Expect :
As a Sales Performance Trainer, this role is pivotal in driving seller, product, segment, and campaign activation through comprehensive sales training programs from onboarding to advanced development modules. The position focuses on designing and executing learning strategies, leveraging performance analytics to enhance results, and fostering continuous professional growth. Key responsibilities include managing training budgets, integrating modern learning technologies, and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to ensure alignment with business objectives. Building strong partnerships and leading initiatives that boost sales activation and productivity are central to this role.
What You Will Do :
- Drive the end-to-end sales training strategy across all distribution channels, covering licensing (LIAM, CEILI, PIAM, Takaful), onboarding, and post-onboarding programs for new recruits.
- Design and implement innovative learning solutions that align with business objectives, leveraging data insights to enhance sales performance and productivity.
- Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing Sales Academy team , fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional growth.
- Modernize the learning ecosystem by integrating cutting-edge technology and digital tools to deliver impactful training experiences.
- Manage training budgets, vendor relationships, and external partnerships to ensure cost-effective, high-quality programs.
- Champion feedback-driven improvements and introduce best practices to position AIA as an industry leader in professional development.
Stakeholder Engagement & Collaboration
Partner with Distribution Channel Sales Heads and internal stakeholders to identify skill gaps, design targeted interventions, and support sales activation initiatives.Collaborate with corporate partners and cross-functional teams to drive business growth through strategic training programs and joint initiatives.Build strong relationships with senior leadership, HR teams, and AIA Group L&D to ensure alignment of training strategies with organizational goals.Support large-scale events, product launches, and seller activation programs (FEBC, BAM, FEUT, REM, Rookies, VST) to boost engagement and productivity.Talent Development & Performance
Lead recruitment and onboarding of top talent for the Sales Academy team, ensuring robust succession planning and capability building.Provide ongoing coaching and mentoring to reinforce learning, improve retention, and sustain long-term success.Continuously evaluate training effectiveness through performance analytics and adapt strategies for scalability and sustainability.What You Will Need :
Experience : Minimum 7 years in the financial services industry, with a strong focus on sales and academy training .Expertise : Proven track record in trainer management and sales target achievement ; hands‑on experience in insurance sales is a strong advantage.Industry Knowledge : Familiarity with agency business operations and stakeholder engagement; experience working with agencies is highly desirable.Leadership & Agility : Strong leadership and people management skills; ability to work independently, proactively, and adapt to agile ways of working .Skills : Strategic thinker with resilience and a results‑driven mindset; capable of planning, developing, and delivering impactful training modules and content.Mobility : Willingness to travel frequently within Klang Valley and occasionally outstation to support sales personnel.Education & Certifications : Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline; CFP / RFP certification is a strong advantage. Additional trainer certifications (e.g., 7 Habits, NLP ) will be a plus.Seniority level : Mid‑Senior level
