Job Responsibilities
- Responsible for detailed mechanical design and drafting of IC sockets based on customer requirements.
- Create 2D and 3D data from NBO provided by the Sales team using CAD software.
- Collaborate closely with Sales and Production teams to optimize engineering design.
- Complete assigned projects on schedule under demanding environments.
- Provide technical guidance, solutions, and customer support as required.
- Perform detailed cumulative tolerance analysis on design work.
- Generate and prepare detailed design drawings and Bill of Materials within project timelines.
- Prepare and upload completed drawings and data to the GEOS Meslink system.
- Ensure registration of drawing numbers and codes comply with company design standards.
- Work with machining suppliers to resolve design issues with effective solutions.
- Apply drawing modifications promptly when required.
- Verify customer package drawings against existing socket drawings.
- Report irregular issues and problems to the supervisor for resolution.
- Plan, prepare, and deliver presentations to the Sales team and other parties in DR meetings.
- Ensure components and assemblies comply with proper socket functionality requirements.
- Lead NBO projects, managing schedules and requirements to successful completion.
- Assist NBO Management in developing accurate technical, staffing, and requirement content.
- Develop innovative, high-quality product concepts that meet customer needs throughout the full product development cycle.
Requirements
Possess at least a Diploma, Advanced / Higher / Graduate Diploma, Bachelor's Degree, Post Graduate Diploma, or Professional Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.Skilled in 2D / 3D CAD, SolidWorks, and MS Office.Proficient in English; good communication skills in Japanese are an added advantage.Minimum of 3 years' working experience in the semiconductor or related industry.Proficient in CAD software such as AutoCAD and SolidWorks.
