Roles & Responsibilities

  • Responsible full spectrum of cost accounting functions including month end closing process, management reporting and cost accounting implementation / setup / maintenance.
  • Ensure Accounting transactions, Cost Centre and Cost Allocation are recognized in book correctly, with adequate reviews prior to the month-end-close.
  • Prepare month-end closing Inventory reconciliation.
  • Responsible for accurate inventory valuation and product costing.
  • Establish and maintain internal controls and adhere to group requirement and policies.
  • Involvement and to provide cost studies and to verify cost improvement projects savings as and when required.
  • Work closely with operation teams to obtain and clarify information required for month end close.
  • Handling full account receivable function, inclusive of prepare SOA and follow up payment from customer.
  • Responsible for issuing E-invoices.
  • Reconciling Accounts Payable monthly statement of accounts.
  • Ensure that company's shipments are invoiced in a prompt and accurate manner.
  • Assist in Forecast & Budget preparation.
  • Assist in company material scrap activity.  Perform monthly Costing closing activities.
  • Assist / take lead in annual physical count process.  Assist in preparation, reviewing and calculating cost saving activities.
  • Preparation of monthly analysis of production costs and actual against budget for management report.
  • Analyze changes in product design, raw materials, manufacturing methods, or services provided, to determine effects on cost and pricing.
  • Provide profitability analysis by products and customer for management review.
  • Monitor and analyze actual versus budget variance on monthly basis.
  • Coordinate and assist other departments in processing operational transactions in SAP system.
  • Undertake any other projects / tasks as assigned by superior from time to time.

Job Requirement

  • At least 3 year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
  • Candidate must possess at least a Diploma, bachelor's degree, Post Graduate Diploma, Professional Degree, Finance / Accountancy / Banking, or equivalent. Strong level of analytical skills, numeracy and costing understanding.
  • Must have a strong standard costing background and have excellent analytical skills.
  • Able to work independently and in team with minimum supervision.
  • Required skill(s) : Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Communication, Budgeting, Forecast, Inventory reporting, Interpersonal.
  • Computer Literate - Strong Excel skills.
  • Experience working with engineering, manufacturing, warehouse personnel on the development and analysis of cost standards.
  • Proven communications skills with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Willingness to learn and ability to meet deadlines.
