About the role

We are seeking a talented and experienced Assistant Planning Manager or Planning Manager to join the dynamic team at Wong Engineering Corporation Bhd in our Kulim, Kedah office. In this full-time position, you will play a pivotal role in optimising our production planning and inventory management processes to drive operational efficiency.

What you'll be doing

Able to lead the planning team to drive CI in planning with production to ensure shipment delivery is on track
Develop and implement effective production planning strategies to meet customer demands and optimize resource utilisation
Analyse sales forecasts, inventory levels, and production capacity to identify opportunities for improvement
Collaborate cross-functionally with the manufacturing, procurement, and logistics teams to ensure seamless coordination of production activities
Monitor and report on key performance indicators to measure the effectiveness of planning processes
Identify and recommend process improvements to enhance productivity and reduce costs
Provide training and support to the planning team to develop their skills and capabilities

What we're looking for

Degree or a related field

Minimum 5 years of experience in a planning or production management role, preferably in the manufacturing industry

Proven track record of successfully implementing production planning strategies and driving operational improvements

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to use data to support decision-making

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams

Proficiency in using planning and scheduling software, such as ERP systems
