Reporting to the Head of HSE, the purpose of the Manager of Safety is to lead the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of safety practices, standards, and frameworks to ensure organizational resilience, regulatory compliance, and the well-being of people, assets, environment and reputation.

Responsibilities

Technical Safety Leadership :

  • Develop and implement robust practices, procedures, and standards for and Technical Safety to ensure operational excellence;
  • Establish, maintain, and communicate safety documents, guidelines, and standards across the organization;
  • Provide expert advice and tailored solutions in Technical Safety, including areas such as Fire Safety, Marine Safety, and Land Transportation;
  • Drive performance monitoring and continuous improvement initiatives for safety practices and outcomes;
  • Lead the development of HSE risk register by conducting groupwide risk assessment.

Crisis & Emergency Preparedness

  • Develop and implement Crisis and Emergency Preparedness plans, including Contingency Plans and Incident Action Plans tailored to organizational risks;
  • Identify and allocate necessary resources to ensure readiness for crisis and emergency scenarios, including capability development programs;
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure comprehensive preparedness strategies.
  • Incident Management

  • Design and implement an Incident Management Framework to effectively respond to and manage safety-related incidents;
  • Oversee the development of resources and capabilities to support the Incident Management Framework;
  • Lead post-incident analyses and drive the integration of lessons learned into safety practices.
  • Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Occupational Safety & Health or equivalent;
  • Minimum 12 years of experience in Engineering or Occupational Safety & Health or equivalent within Renewable and / or Oil & Gas industry ;
  • Expertise in Technical Safety;
  • Added advantage to have NEBOSH, SHO Greenbook or certified incident investigator (e.g. Tripod Beta, Kelvin Topset, FTA, RCA), certified HAZOP leader .
