Roles & Responsibilities

• In charge of all shipments of products in packed form for overseas destinations.
• Receive, check and amend accordingly all letters of credit from Finance department.
• Updating of shipping schedule / forecast – weekly and forward months for specialty fats.
• Ensure complete shipping documents before submitting them to Finance. Coordinate with Marketing and Production on customer requirements.
• Respond to all queries from buyers, Marketing and other internal customers.
• Monitoring of container movement and booking of vessel.
• Oversee shipping staff in documentation and corresponding with independent laboratories, surveyors, MITI, Health Department, Agriculture Department and Chamber of Commerce.
• Manage buyer’s requirements for documentation and shipment details.
• Engage service providers for continual process improvement and cost saving for the company.
• Generation of monthly reports for the department.
• Supervise daily movements, inbound and outbound.
• Compile incidental charges for the department on a monthly basis.
• Manage Logistics Service providers’ performance.
• Prepare all department related reports for Shipping, Logistics, Warehouse.
• Initiate and drive improvement / cost savings for all sections of the department.
• Liaise with Government departments and agencies to support and enhance the logistics services provided for internal and external customers of SD Guthrie International.
• Discharge any other duties given by the Shipping and Logistic Manager from time to time.
