As a Cost Controller at Swiss-Garden International Hotels, Resorts & Inns (A member of OSK Group), you will play a crucial role in managing the company's financial performance. Working in a full-time position based in Kuantan, Pahang, you will be responsible for overseeing the cost accounting function to ensure accurate and timely reporting.

What you'll be doing

Prepare and analyse detailed cost reports, budgets and variance analyses for management review

Monitor and control operational costs to identify areas for improvement and cost savings

Assist in the development and implementation of cost accounting policies and procedures

Provide support in the preparation of financial statements and other regulatory reporting

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide cost-related insights and recommendations

Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency of the cost accounting function

Cost Monitoring & Control

Monitor and control all hotel cost-related activities including food, beverage, and operational supplies.

Ensure proper cost allocation to relevant departments.

Inventory Management

Conduct monthly stock counts for all outlets (F&B, housekeeping, stores, etc.).

Verify and reconcile physical inventory against system reports.

Investigate variances and report discrepancies.

Purchasing & Receiving Oversight

Cross-check all purchase orders, receiving reports, and invoices for price, quantity, and quality.

Ensure goods received match the approved purchase order and are within budget.

Daily & Monthly Reporting

Prepare daily flash reports for food and beverage costs.

Submit monthly cost reports and analysis to management.

Provide variance analysis and cost-saving recommendations.

What we're looking for

Minimum 3 years' experience in a cost accounting or financial analysis role, preferably within the hospitality industry

Strong understanding of cost accounting principles, budgeting, and variance analysis

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail

Proficient in the use of financial software and spreadsheet applications

Ability to work independently and as part of a team to deliver high-quality results

Good communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with stakeholders
