Role Description

This position : Drone Pilot will be responsible for piloting drones for various industries, ensuring safe and accurate flights, and conducting training sessions related to UAV operations on-site. Experience in flying at Telco Towers is an added advantage. Pilot should be able to understand GEO mapping, flight path, autonomously & manually fly the drones both horizontal surfaces as well as vertical structures. Able to work independently with minimum support.

Pilot should be in good health mentally and physically as this job requires a person with clear state of mind and body to minimise any damages to human or materials.

Qualifications

Drone Piloting and UAV operation skills
Experience in advanced Drone Operations, such as Mapping, Surveying, 3D modelling
Good understanding and working experience in GIS and Flight Planning software / tools
RCOC certification is MUST
Experience in piloting drones in Construction, Telecom, Warehouse and / or Agriculture sectors
Knowledge of drone regulations and safety procedures
Ability to work on-site in Petaling Jaya
Willing to travel across Malaysia during the project execution
Excellent communication skills and be a good team player
Experience flying Drones with Dronelink / Scanlink
Diploma / Degree holder

Key Responsibilities

Pre-Flight Preparation : Plan and prepare flight missions, including analyzing weather conditions, airspace permissions, and mapping the operational area. Perform pre-flight equipment checks and calibrations to ensure optimal performance. Coordinate with team members for mission briefings and safety protocols.

In-Flight Operation : Pilot drones to perform tasks such as data collection, inspection, surveillance, or delivery. Monitor drone performance and ensure adherence to the designated flight path. Troubleshoot real-time issues and manage emergency procedures if necessary.

Post-Flight Tasks : Log flight details, incidents, and data collected during missions. Inspect, clean, and perform basic maintenance on drone equipment. Collaborate with teams to analyze collected data and provide actionable insights.

Regulatory Compliance : Ensure all operations comply with aviation regulations, permits, and company policies. Keep updated on new rules and certifications required for drone operations in specific regions.

Safety & Risk Management : Identify and mitigate risks during flight planning and execution. Conduct regular training and drills to stay prepared for emergencies.

Equipment Management : Manage inventory of drones, spare parts, and related accessories. Report technical issues or damages and coordinate for repairs.
