Job Description

  • Server & Storage performance, Server Backup Plan, propose & manage new projects with proper project management.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve network-related issues promptly to minimise downtime and maintain business continuity.
  • Managing project progress and adapt work as required and ensuring projects meet deadlines.
  • To assist Technical Team for project deployment with onsite & offsite staging, configuration, troubleshooting and installation.
  • Stay up-skills with the latest industry trends and technologies, and recommend improvements to our network infrastructure.
  • Design, configure, and maintain LAN, WAN, VPN, and wireless networks.
  • Perform regular network monitoring, troubleshooting, and performance tuning.
  • Implement and maintain firewalls, switches, routers, and network security measures.
  • Support network-related incidents and provide Level 2 / 3 support.Ensure network compliance with security
  • policies, data protection, and industry standards.
  • Maintain network documentation and diagrams.
  • Support the Network / IT Manager in overseeing daily operations and projects.
  • Coordinate with internal teams and external vendors for network-related inititives.
  • Assist in developing and enforcing IT / network policies and procedures.
  • Lead or mentor junior team members.
  • Prepare reports and updates on network status, incidents, and improvements.

Job requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Industry certifications preferred (e.g., CCNA, CCNP, CompTIA Network+, Juniper, Fortinet).
  • Good command of English, Bahasa Malaysia, and Mandarin, both written and spoken will be added advantage
  • Minimum (3–5) years of relevant hands-on experience in network engineering.
  • Experience in managing or assisting in IT / network teams is a plus.
  • Strong knowledge of networking protocols and services (TCP / IP, BGP, OSPF, DNS, DHCP).
  • Proficient in configuring Cisco, Juniper, Fortinet, or similar network equipment.
  • Experience with network monitoring tools (e.g., PRTG, SolarWinds, Nagios).
  • Familiarity with cloud networking (AWS, Azure) is an advantage.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
  • Leadership potential with a proactive and collaborative approach.
