About the Role
Join the dynamic and fast-paced team at MR DIY as a Senior Product & Packaging Designer. In this role, you will be at the forefront of our brand's visual identity, responsible for creating and enhancing packaging that captures customer attention and drives buying decisions. You will work within a collaborative design team, playing a crucial role in bringing our products to life through innovative and strategic packaging solutions.
Responsibilities
1. Redesign Existing Product Packaging :
- Conduct research to identify design opportunities and address existing gaps.
- Use insights from research to inform design decisions and propose new packaging concepts.
- Create a comprehensive design template to guide the adaptation process.
- Adapt new designs across different product ranges and packaging sizes, ensuring brand consistency.
2. Design New Product Packaging :
Perform market research on target export markets to understand audience preferences and buying triggers.Propose innovative design concepts based on research and project requirements.Develop and create clear design guidelines for suppliers to ensure flawless implementation.3. Create Packaging for Disney-Licensed Products :
Develop packaging designs that strictly adhere to Disney's official design requirements and brand guidelines.Ensure all designs are approved by relevant parties while maintaining the integrity of both the Disney and MR DIY brands.Requirements
Experience : 4 - 6 years of branding and graphic design experience. A strong portfolio is essential, showcasing expertise in product and packaging design. Experience with Disney-licensed products, FMCG, or major retail brands is highly prioritized.Portfolio : Your portfolio should not only demonstrate exceptional branding and packaging work but also illustrate your complete design process, from initial concepts and ideation to final execution.Technical Skills : Advanced proficiency in the Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign) is a must. Experience with generative AI tools (e.g., Midjourney, Firefly, ChatGPT) is highly valued.Communication & Collaboration : You must be a collaborative team player with excellent written and verbal communication skills in both Mandarin and English, due to work nature. You should be comfortable presenting your ideas, actively listening to feedback, and adapting to a fast-paced environment.Personal Attributes : We're looking for a proactive, detail-oriented individual with a positive attitude and a genuine curiosity for learning. You should possess strong time management skills and be eager to contribute to the team.Education : A Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Product Design, Graphic Design, Visual Communication, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience) is required.
